DETAILS: "SUT" stands for Surface and Underwater Target. The Mod 4 version was introduced as part of an upgrade program for legacy SUT Mod 0 torpedoes, involving refurbishment and the possible integration of improved internal components. The upgrade was ordered by the Hellenic Navy in the 2020s. The program was aimed at maintaining operational effectiveness of existing torpedo stock alongside the introduction of new models.

FUNCTION: Launched from 533 mm submarine tubes, the SUT Mod 4 is designed to engage both surface ships and submarines. It operates under wire guidance for mid-course navigation, followed by active homing in the terminal phase.
